Image
What is Remarketing? What are the benefits of Remarketing? Do you have the same question in your mind? Today, I am going to express my views about Remarketing & why it is an important marketing tactic these days. Many ecommerce companies these days investing much in remarketing campaigns rather than keyword based CPC campaigns. The reasons behind using remarketing as a primary targeting tactic are: Its very cost effective. CPC of Remarketing Ads is very less as compared to other Ad formats. By using remarketing, you can target only those customers who already shown an interest in your product or already visited your website. You can also upload an email list manually to increase your customer base. It will reduce your loss. As by remarketing you are only targeting potential customers & the chance of getting irrelevant clicks is very less. You can use dynamic remarketing to show your specific products to customers who have visited that product page earlier. R

They also renamed many dimensions and metrics so they are the same across web and app view. For those of us who use GA on the web, Visits is now Sessions, Unique Visitors is now Users, and Pageviews are…well still Pageviews. To help clarify any confusion, let’s talk about the difference between Sessions, Users, and Pageviews…just to make sure we’re all on the same page. Or pageview. Or whatever. The Story of Users, Sessions, and Page-views: Say I come visit your site on March 1. While I’m there, I visit your homepage, your about page, and your contact page. If I’m the only one to your site, here’s how your analytics profile is going to read: Sessions: 1 Users: 1 Pageviews: 3 So I’m one user, I’ve created one session, and I’ve viewed three pages. Now let’s pretend I come back to your site (using the same machine) on March 2. Again, I visit your homepage, about page, and contact page. Now here’s how your total will read (assuming no other activity on the site): Sessi

google’s App Interstitial Giant Ad Penalty Is Now Live

Image
Yesterday, Google released an update to their mobile-friendly algorithm, penalizing sites using giant app install interstitial ads. On September 1, Google told us that giant ads for apps may lead to ranking declines starting on November 1. Well, that algorithm, aka the “app install interstitial penalty,” went live a day late, on November 2. Google announced it on various social networks, including Google+, saying: Starting today, pages with an app install interstitial that hide a significant amount of content on the transition from the search result page won’t be considered mobile-friendly. This penalty will be built right into the overall Google mobile-friendly algorithm, so this makes November 2 the second day of Mobilegeddon. Or maybe not. I have yet to see complaints from webmasters about being hit by a penalty yesterday. Google’s advice? Instead of full page interstitials, we recommend that webmasters use more user-friendly formats such as app install banners. We

Android Marshmallow Series: Google's Private index

Image
As over-the-air updates for Android Marshmallow start slowly rolling out to some Nexus devices, many SEOs are wondering how this well-publicized update will impact mobile user behavior and search. This is especially true because Google’s enhanced predictive search utility, Now on Tap, will be deeply integrated in the browser and OS. Google’s Private Index: Google has always collected data from its users for the purpose of personalization (like query, browsing and click history), but now Google also keeps a searchable Private Index. “Phone” is a new search option/index that Google has made available to all users (with or without Android Marshmallow), as in “Search my phone.” You can find it hidden in the Google Now interface when you scroll to the right in the top navigation. This is Google’s entry to your Private Index, and it seems to be much like the Apple iOS 9 Private Index, in which information about your private mobile behavior is stored to your phone so that it
